Beautiful to see the cactus in flower - we spent time in the Barrago Springs (sp?) dessert (near San Diego)and were impressed with the stark but stunning scenery.

Yowza! Did it just rain there? Cactus flowers are so gloriously gaudy and, "Hello sailor!" If they were girls, they would be wearing high-heeled backless mules, ribbon-tied halter-tops, and they would be chewing gum - loudly.

Oh Thank you for the hope of spring. I know how you suffer during our beautiful midwest autumns, but YOU get the gorgeous first taste of spring. Keep sharing, it keeps my sprits up as winter goes on.

The cactus always hid around my area of AZ, yours are lovely.

How blessed you are to enjoy them.
