Express Lane Socks

Yes, it's been a good while since I've posted. There was a need to recover from the wedding, and then there were a lot of things to get caught up on. There definitely was a need to let internet stuff slide for a while, and yes I'm behind on my Bloglines, but I'm still here!

The Express Lane socks were finished on Sunday, and I was hoping for a good day for photography. But it's been dreary and rainy (when there hasn't been record-breaking heat), and so I kept hoping for a good day.

I gave up.

Here's the Express Lane socks. They aren't knee socks, but they are longer in the leg than any other socks I've knit. I think I'm going to like the longer length, but I won't know for a while until I get to wear them in cooler weather! Probably about January...

I can't find the ball bands any more, but the yarn is Jojoland Melody. A little splitty, but very nice. I knit until there was almost no yarn left. To see the modifications I did, click here.

Hope everyone's having a great August!

Welcome back. I'm glad all is well. The socks are very nice indeed.

And as a side note the word verification just happens to be eject! How odd.

Soooo pretty! Usually I don't like lace and varigated yarn together, but this really, really works!
